Living with Parkinson's

Created by Candy 5 years ago

My dad lived with Parkinson's for 15 years. Doctors initially thought it was a stroke however, after more tests he was diagnose with Parkinson's. This still did not stop my dad from doing anything, he would still swim in his pool in Thailand, gardening, occasional help in the farm and many charity work.

He finally found the right medication that helped his mobility and the strength to do diary activities. As years go by and medication seemed to loose it's effect, he lost his ability to walk, than lost his speech and slowly loosing control of his disease. In two years we could see how he just deteriorated. There is no cure for this disease and it was the most horrible thing to see your loved one go through the pain.

My dad have been a supporter of Parkinson's UK for many years and they have helped him to understand and lived with Parkinson's, this is why we have set up this Tribute fund to help others like my dad.

Geoff was a kind gentle man and he would helped anyone if he could, we are just following his footstep, please donate Thank you x
